it takes more than a heartbeat to get me

Title: "Much too long" - The Sounds

This weekend has be rough.

  • I didnt go to Sadies
  • but instead I sat home at had a girls night with my Mother and Sister.
  • We ordered Pie Pizza
  • and watched Paper Hearts
  • Then I watched A Walk to Remember for the first time balling my eyes out
  • Saturday I did homework
  • went to Grandmas
  • came home and watched P.S. I love you for the first time and cried again
  • Sunday my Father came home
  • I did homework
  • I didnt understand my homework
  • I didnt finnish my homework
  • I found out I got Beccas Play
  • but i dont get the script until she prints it off
  • which i dont know when that could be
But what I am trying to get at is the whole weekend I was slightly depressed and watched sad movies about love. Something is wrong. . . Haha Tomorrow is school which I am dreading. I feel so unprepared- but yet I finished everything due tomorrow. I dont want to see the people I was supposed to go to Saidies with. I dont know if they are still mad at me even though the dance is over. I know one is. I dont want to hear about how wonderful, but I want to know the stories and feel a part of it. Ah. Enough blabbering.

So the next part i wrote a little write up about Paper Hearts. Anthony Badger used to always pick on my poor movie write up skills because he was like amazing at it. So I have been working on it. : )

Paper Hearts: Have a good night! :) xoxo

Initially the film starts as a straight-up
documentary, with Charlyne on a quest to find out whether or not love truly exists and if she will ever find it. She hits the road with her friend and director Nick, interviewing people all across the U.S. about their thoughts on the nature of love, hearing their stories and ideas. The movie changes after she attends a party and meets Michael for the first time. The two hit it off, and from here on in, her relationship with Michael becomes a central part of the movie. The documentary crew starts to follow them on dates as Charlyne refuses to admit that she might actually be in love. It is basically Charlyne’s show from start to finish, and while I don’t think she’s entirely hilarious, she is very cute, loveable, and easy to root for especially when she laughs. It also helps that her desire to find answers about love is genuine. She manages to write some of her musical skills into the movie, and creates cardboard puppet sequences in order to “act out” some of the stories that various couples tell about their relationships which add a fun element to this documentary. Not only is Paper Heart charming and funny, but it’s also cleverly constructed and refreshingly original. I absolutely loved this movie. It is a movie unlike anything you’ve seen before, but it’s not gimmicky or forced. Somehow it just works. What is the meaning of love? Is it just a biological reaction to a psychological state, or is there also something magical about it? Paper Heart doesn’t have all the answers, but if there’s one thing it teaches us, it is that laughter brings us all a little bit closer together. And love forms when the lightning bolt strikes. :)

Have a good night! :) xoxo

there's music and there's people and they're young and alive

When you opened up this page you were probably expecting a normal post. Right? One where I didn't have a terrifying snow sliding almost death experience? Or one that says my date responded and I am going with him to Saidies? Well. Your wrong. We don't live in that kind of a world. That would be a world where good things happen to me all the time. Ha. (now that wouldn't be fun)

Okay so just to clear the air- yes I did ask Ryan to a dance. No we are not going. No I am not going at all. Yes I did make the shirts but that doesn't matter.

this next story is BIG news. Like it was the most exciting thing that has happened. I was terrified and freaked out then - but now that I am alive and okay it was kind of fun. : ] now let me start from the beginning.

Once upon a time in the state of the Utes lived two girls, Eliza and Audrey. Audrey was a skier and heard about a snowboard event that involved one of her least favorite people to look at Shawn White. But Audrey knew that Eliza had a huge crush on him and was a snowboarder so maybe she would like to go. It turned out she did, so the two girls made their way up the canyon to Park City to watch the Snowboard Grand Prix. This was Saturday night.
As the girls were driving it was snowing lightly, but not enough to make a difference so they continued. The even was well. Shawn White winning of course and Eliza and Audrey falling down a lot taking people out with them. Then the event ended. The drive home began. The weather was fine so eliza and Audrey was not worried about the roads. Then they turned the corner. BAM! A giant storm hit. Snow was shoveling towards their windshied and Elizas non winter car was sliding all over. So after trying to face the eye of the storm Eliza decided she couldnt do it.
The girls pulled off on exit 140 and make their way to the No Worries Cafe at about 9. This is where the car got stuck in the snow. The girls called their parents. The roads were too bad for them to pick them up. Audrey's father had high connections and made arrangements for Carrie to come pick them up and take them to her house. She arrived at about 12.
They went and had dinner at Maxwells Bar and Grill and then tried to get some sleep at Carries. In the morning they shoveled out Elizas car and made it home safe a sound.

The End.

Pretty epic huh?

Well thats my life. Well some of it. Im going to fall asleep. So bye :)

To readjust you've got to trust that all the fuss is just a minor thing

Good Evening. School is back in session. Yes it does ring that miserable bell of suckiness that none of us want to hear. Its only Tuesday- he 2nd day of the school week- and I am ready for the weekend. That is just not right. I feel crammed and have been doing nothing but homework that passed two nights cause I feel overwhelmed for some reason that I need to get everything done! Ah! Its so annoying.

Do you know what else is annoying? Dances. Yes they are all great fun- but they cause serious drama. Who to go with, if the person will fit in a group you are going with, if the group will like the person you are asking to be in the group with you, what to do for activities, staying with the same group of people- for every dance, making sure everyone gets ask, paying attention to peoples feelings, planning, dealing with the person who acts like they are in charge, getting a say in about what you think should happen, getting organized- all for just one night of a few songs to jump around to in a group of sweaty high schoolers. Gross. I have had this conversation with those who are labeled my parental guardians and they talk about how going to dances used to be a boy calling you up on the phone asking if you want to go (non of the cheesy Utah tradition of asking you to "plant" your arms around me for the dance and leaving a plant with your name on the leaves crap..) and then you would pick up your date- go to dinner, and go to the dance and have a good time. No drama. Fun. Yeah. Not now. Its drama drama drama. But what are you going to do? Im going to deal with it and stop blabbering about this crap. I just had to spit it out somewhere. Lucky you. :)

Tonight I had a "study" session with Natalie at Sugarhouse Coffee. I got a lot done- kind of. I got really frustrated when I looked in the back of the book for the definition of Panic of 1857 but they had every other panic but the one I wanted. Just my luck, right? Right. Natalie and I always have the most interesting conversations about well... everything. I love it! Thanks Nat-a-lie!!

This just made me laugh because it is so true... look at your newsfeed on facebook from the beginning of the week and see how many people posted something like this dude: Haha

Well its time for me to close my eyes and do that thing called sleep. You should try it too.
Good Night!
