my room is clean, my incenses are drifting, the rolling stones are on the record player, and one of my toe nails are painted purple.

Do you know what I love? Late start school days. Aw, just speaking those precious, candy coated, words, makes me exuberant (nice vocabulary Audrey) and the thought of not going to school tomorrow until 9:30 makes my mouth stretch to a smile. 


Speaking of loves, here is a recent love of mine. . . just stumbled upon it twenty minutes ago. I was looking for the music video "Dishwasher" by Fujiya and Miyagi, but I couldn't find an original (. . only lame ones people made by themselves. These included old women doing dishes in neon non match rubber gloves stretched to their elbows for the entire three minutes) but I noticed this ones name and well, I had to click on it. (Come on! You would too! The name is Knickerbocker for heavens sake!) It turned out to be pretty rockin' (yes I did just use that word in that sentence) so I think you will enjoy it. (Or not. Whatever floats your pirate ship)

shortboard or longboard skating?

All this summer I gave Joe and Ryan shit for being longboarders and not a skateboarder like me. I called them cowards and how there was no fun it. This argument between us was a friendly competition that meant nothing- but boy did we argue. Now I am going to let you all in on a little secret: I had never longboarded in my entire life. I had no right to form an opinion because I had never tried the opposing force. I talked crap like I had tried it and hated it... but i lied. I know, I am a bad person.

so after a few many months- okay so it has been like a year, get over it!!! - i decided to try the longboard officially. And I did it tonight. 

 It. was. hard. 

• First off the board bounces up and down. Yes it was like a little trampoline effect under my feet. I would try to stand there and that bamboo would just bounce me. I could not gain good balance.
•  I felt like I was standing on a curve going up. Like a little mountain top under my feet (IM QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAIN) which was very awkward. 
• I didnt know where to put my big feet! When skateboarding my feet are closer to the very end of the board over the bearings, but on a longboard if I tried to do that I would be skating down wide legged looking like I was doing some weird angled yoga pose and would not be able to control the board. (Also i would look like an idiot.. people would stare. I would probably fall over and rip my pants. be there done that) 
• It seemed to go faster. It scared me a little.
• There is more of a board to control making it hard to make turns
• curbs like to get in your way when your on a long board
• i didnt feel in tune with the board. I felt like it had more control over me. 

while riding,  I felt like i was learning how to skateboard all over again. My body was tense, my knees were not bent in tune with the board, and I didnt trust myself nor the board while turning, carving or even going down a not so steep hill. 

Now all you long boarders out there that I have told were lame to longboard: do not take this as an opportunity to think that I now agree that longboarding is the best ever- I just give you some kudos and some appreciation. Longboarding is tough and is not as easy as it may seem. 

I plan to do some practicing- but now i can say. Skateboarding officially is my favorite. : ) 

well it was a try.

I am a bad person. I sat there last night staring an a blank screen, actually the same one I am looking at right now, with the will to write a blog post that will either bring all of you to your feet or at least help you know I still exist. But obviously that didnt happen. Instead I replaced it with a creative sentence that sounds better at midnight when I wrote it down. I am going to redeem myself, a little bit.  .> : )

Spring break. Before it started  had all these plans: hang out every night with friends, go to the zoo, finnish homework, ski every day, But its over. And although I had fun It wasnt enough time. I had a wonderful day with my Mother where I bought dresses for Take Five, saw dollar movies with Gabrielle late at night, skied once, and did some homework. But I feel like I wasted it

Take Five is coming up. In fact opening night is Thursday. Eek. I am excited, nervous, stressing, and happy! I feel like it has gone to fast. But I am ready to perform. I love my play and my cast. : ) Come see it!!

WORD. I hate that saying or reply or whatever you want to call it. What exactly does it mean? Its just something to feel up my text message inbox and makes you sound uneducated. Do not say it.

I got a snuggie for my birthday. It has my initials on it. : ) Be jealous.

I went and saw Dear John and When in Rome and have decided that recent movies are really good and enjoying to watch until you reach the end.. then it becomes cheesey, long, and lame. Just an opinion.

Strawberry Lime Italian Sodas are delicious.

Stop lights are entertaining.

Spring skiing is amazing.

ACT's suck. (I have one tomorrow)
