notes from the non business major in a business class
Just being released for a ten minute break, I watch as the older students of my Foundation of Business class pack up their bags and scurry out of the classroom. Our class does not end for another hour and a half, yet people skip out; leaving the ending result student count as a mere fifteen, compared to the large quantity of one hundred and nine. Ultimately it is there decision and the University pockets their money none the less, but I feel sad for my professor as he gazes out onto a now empty class. I hope he doesn't think they leave because of the content of his class, or his jokes and awkward sense of humor. I hope he doesn't take it personally.

Jenni's stunt double is a DUDE
We have all heard about using stunt doubles in movies so those ever so fragile celeb's stay poised and pretty. I mean, we don't really care about how they move, it's all about that sexy smolder they flash the camera on the left and how their dress is flowing unnaturally from camera angle right. But wouldn't you think that the stunt double would be the same sex as the star?
Not in Jennifer Lopez's case. While on set of her new music video shoot, a secret shot that was probably paid a lot of money for was taken and publicized, shows two people in black, skinny leather leggings, a zip up hoodie, and four corn rows against the side of their head. But when you look a bit closer, it is easy to notice that JLO's stunt double has an adam's apple, because he is A GUY. Maybe female stunt doubles are hard to come by these days.
I am not really here to hate on male stunt doubling for females, or vice versa, and I am definitely not here to hate on Jennifer, because I simply adore her. This photo really got me thinking, who would be my male stunt double if I was to have one? My first choice was the forever sexy Kurt Cobain.

I think this grunge rock god would be a perfect match, one sexy person playing another. Sadly, my first choice has passed away (quite some time) and probably does not resemble my beauty now days. And on set, I need to look as lively as ever. So i turned to next blonde beauty i could think of, David Beckham.
His soft eyes and chiseled complexion would carry my kick ass moves perfectly. I also already own diamond earrings - costume shopping done! Like Cobain, I found a flaw in this wonder that would make it harder for him to play my stunt devil. He would have to shave his face and to me, that would be a sin. Keep the light shadow David.
Someone I wont have any problem shaving their face, has long flowing hair, and a nice body is that man right up there. The ever so not so tamed, Brad Pitt. If I was doing a beach scene where I was swimming with sharks while saving little dolphins, this man would be my match. Wind blown and sensual. Brad would be my dream stunt double. But I probably would end up with someone not nearly as sexy. Someone like him:
Brett Michaels. In all honesty, the producers would probably pick him because my dream double was busy adopting babies or something. I would be stuck with the rock of no love Brett. That is how my celebrity career has been turning out to be, not very good. Oh well, a girl can dream.

19.
Thursday, March 1st was Justin Beiber's 18th Birthday.
Thursday, March 1st was also Kesha's Birthday.
Friday, March 2nd was Dr. Suess's Birthday.
But most importantly.
Thursday, March 1st was my 19th birthday, and I have been celebrating ever since. I warn you, what you are about to read will make you incredibly jealous because my birthday weekend was amazing. Let's start with Thursday. I was awoken to fire, filling up my room. The heat was pounding against my drool stained face and the echoing sounds of my Mother and Sister singing Happy Birthday out of tune hummed the room. It was such a sweet surprise, literally. My family brought me a donut in bed, not just any donut, a donut with glazed and then chocolate and then sprinkles and the a candle. We are talking, the king of all donuts. I looked like this kid:
(Please note that this photograph was borrowed from burlingamebarley's photostream and I will return it when I am done. Don't call the occupy website clan or whatever they are called that will get me in trouble.) I received a glitter eye liner from my sister and new outfits from my parents. They are so thoughtful. The rest of the day I went to class, did things that normal people do, and then I was taken out to dinner at Vintos, one of my favorite restaurants, before class.
In film class I watched Moulin Rouge, it could not get any better. And well, it really didn't. See, when I was in class, Utah experienced the wettest snow storm they have had all year (do not quote me on that, I am not a weather professional and I do not have a white blazer to wear when it is snowing.) I came out to find my car looking like this:
Except there was no smiley face and the car was black, not green. Anyways, driving home was scary. My little buggy boop boop is not made for the slopes. Driving down an averagely steep hill, my car lost control. Slowly. But. Surely. I glided down the hill, my foot slamming on the breaks, my heart racing, and my mouth gaping with no sound. The emergency break was pulled, but nothing was stopping. I felt like I was going a hundred mile per hour, roller coaster speed (but in all actuality the boats in Its a Small World in Disneyland move faster then how I was.) I turned horizontal in the lane and stopped barley before bumping the silver four wheeled drive car in front of me. My head instantly hurt and I was shaking. The rest of the ride home was alright, but with a constant fear of loosing control again.
On Friday I had my friend's birthday party thing. It was Tangled theme, because I simply love that movie and like to pretend that I look like Repunzel. We ate, partied, danced, partied, and laughed incredibly hard. I had an amazing night.
On Saturday, I had my family party, which was equally as enjoyable. On Sunday, my Father came home for ten hours, which was a nice treat. I really had a great weekend and am thankful for my wonderful family and friends.
Monday was my Father's birthday, Friday the 9th is my Mothers, and the 20th is Gabrielle's! Let the march madness begin!

a new flavor of man candy
How come when you tell someone you are doing really good they immediately ask who the new boi is? Can't a woman be happy without a man? I mean lets face the facts, what is so appealing about a man that makes people think we need them to be happy. This sort of thing just boost their egos. I just want everyone to know that I am loving my life right now and am doing really well, and no, it ain't because of a new flavor of man candy.
Glad I got that off my chest.
I still don't have a job, just incase any of you were wondering. Applications are being sent out daily. Today I applied to two different positions in the same company!
I really need to write this when I am not tired and am more focused. I am now regretting the decision to start a post, but I am to lazy to delete all this nice type. Enjoy it, for it did take some effort.
Goodnight.
P.S. I learned that if i make my post titles sound more provocative, the more hits i get. My top read post has the title "Eski-hoes."

audrey verses the job market
I have been trying to get a job.
You know, make my mark in this world, earn some daily
income, help put chai teas on my table and concerts in my future, but it seems
to me that the employment gods are clearly unhappy with me for a reason that I
am unaware of.
People say that getting a job is hard, but getting rejected
is harder.
I have applied to coffee shops, at libraries, for hair salon
receptionists, and do you think any of them had the heart to call me and tell
me that “I am sorry Miss Rotermund, but you are too good for our staff and we
are sorry that you did not get the position.”
No.
None of them did.
None of them called.
I was left to soak in my misery of humiliation that I was so
unwanted no one took the time to tell me so.
I even got rejected from an internship. AN INTERNSHIP. How can a company who says “interns
make the world go round” reject a wonderful person like me who is willing to
work for free and is excellent at going for coffee runs? That is just real low
company who will not be named. Real low.
On a lighter note, I applied to six jobs today. SIX. I am
hoping that this is the lucky number, because obviously three was not the
charm. Everyone cross your fingers
and Grandma, pray to the saints for me!
Okay.
I have a confession.
The main reason I desperately need a job is not because I am
great need of money, I don’t have anything to spend money on, it is because I
am lonely. I will admit it; I am tired of spending my days alone with the only
company of my iTunes and studies.
People, I need
socialization.
It is very hard for me to wake up in the morning, get
dressed beautifully, spend time on my hair and make up, spend time in a
fifty-minute class, and go home without a word spoken to anyone. I have lack of
energy to get make myself presentable if the only person to enjoy it is the
creepy truck driver at the red light and the quick glance from the guy asking
if he can use my pencil.
I am sure the grannies at 24 hour fitness love my bright eye
make up, but I want more than those sag bags to notice and see it.
I do my homework, apply for jobs, and check my email every
thirty minutes.
There is only so many times a girl can reorganize her room.
I open the
fridge multiple times, but get disappointed because there is nothing I want
even though it is crowded with good foods. I am seeking company and no offense
string beans just don’t do the trick.
My hard working family comes home from a day long of
socialization, seeking quiet time, and all I want is to talk their ears off
because I have been silent all day.
And I do talk. I talk a lot. And that frustrates all of them.
My loneliness is taking a toll on my family.
I need a social life.
So if you are out there future employers, please, take this
plea for a job as a desperation to save the ears of my family and my sense of
well being.
Please!
